The 2020 Comet Neowise (C2020f3)
Reflections on the French coast
This was the last photograph I took of Neowise in its closest position to earth in July 2020 after a 3 week comet chase across the UK which ended up on the north coast of France. It was a balmy evening that had started with a wonderful picnic watching the sunset going down over the rising tide with the last of the dogwalker’s enjoying a summer’s evening. I waited for the tide to go out to capture some of the reflections of the posts in the damp sand.
Taken with my Nikon D850 and professionally printed in carbon neutral lab in London (additionally for every print bought I donate £5 to the Woodland Trust to help offset any delivery impact). I have chosen to print on Hahnemühle German Etching, which has a warm base tone and a mottled texture which adds to the texture of the beach setting. German Etching is a heavy weight Giclée art printing paper at 310 gsm.
